Watched an Anuhea @anuheajams Lotus album show, with Lea Love @lealovemusic and Swells @swellsoc, here. The venue is brand new and very clean. The concessions are good considering it's a small-ish venue. The bathrooms are clean. The parking structure was close by (very short walk) and very convenient. The free street parking is a great option, but you'll have to arrive extra early to find those spots.
We Sat in the 2nd row, extreme stage right, so our view was totally unobstructed, even from the people in the 1st row! The sound quality in the front is very dependent upon the volume of the onstage front-of-house speakers that fire into the audience because the larger suspended speaker arrays fire too high above your head. For the opening act, they were way too loud; considering there's multiple stage speakers less than 10 feet from all front row seats, this can eventually get uncomfortable. Fortunately they weren't as load for the main act. (Considering bringing earplugs if you're in the first 3 rows.) Overall the sound & lightning equipment is top notch.

The place is well situated by a beautiful hotel that is the prime place to stay and park your car. It's a great venue for a classy night out and enjoyed the comfiest seating. It's clean, neat, will staffed with friendly helpful people. We will be seeing more shows and events there in the near future and will tell our friends and family if not bring them.

Love this venue (great sound, great setup), but be sure to not be fooled while following the "Public Parking" route alongside of the venue. The Marriott property, the Courtyard San Diego El Cajon did not do it's due diligence and put up clear signage that I couldn't go left (following the "Public Parking" sign. The Courtyard San Diego El Cajon must be getting kickbacks from the towing company and making good money that way. They'll tow your car very fast, even it you think you're close to The Magnolia venue than you are the Courtyard.
~$500 tow, hours of frustration trying to get my car back after the show and about $2,500 in damages to my car from the tow truck company.
This is just a warning to be careful as these deceptive parking practices are well and alive around the venue.

Great venue! The employees were friendly and helpful. The acoustics in the theater was great. Awesome view of the stage. We saw Puddles Pity Party. It was a great show!!

Centrally located in El Cajon. Within easy access from a number of bats and restaurants.
The place has a well stocked bar and a choice of food options. Inside seating is comfortable and easy to get in and out of.

This was our first visit to The Magnolia, and I loved it! It is a great venue for concerts!

Parking is easy to get to from the freeway, and waa pleasantly surprised to find out it is free. It is a quick walk from the parking lot to the venue.

The venue is a wonderful size, and honestly, no seats inside are bad seats.

I look forward to future concerts at The Magnolia!

Nice that the venue is close to home but they don’t post the actual time that the shows start. When I asked their ticket office about it, a woman, possibly supervisor, very condescendingly told me it’s on the tickets and website. When I searched both that still had the wrong time, she pointed to even smaller legal print regarding the venue that said the posted time is for the doors opening and apparently I’m stupid for not finding this independently. Who wants to sit in theater seats for an extra hour?!!
