I just want to say thank you to Mike and all the safe and owner Jay here at Prehistoric pets, after my children love watching Jays YouTube channel it was their dream to visit & today exceeded my expectations! My children had an absolute amazing time at this establishment! With the amazing stories and time that Mike spent with my family my kids won’t stop talking about it! What an amazing time I cannot thank Mike and the other staff enough! Amazing Experience

Knowledgeable employees here and they always have what I need for my beardies. I haven’t had the opportunity to check out the reptile zoo area but once I do I will update my review. They also have rescue animals here which I love because all the babies need homes, not just the little ones. I haven’t taken several abandoned reptiles here and they always take them and care for them properly without question. It’s unfortunate that people will actually abandon animals and leave them to die alone but it’s good to know there is a place to take them if you can’t take them home yourself. (I have already taken on two rescues and don’t want to take on more than I can properly care for). If you are looking for a scale babie then check them out, they have a wide variety of healthy reptiles that need good homes.

LOVE THIS PLACE!!!
It was so cool to see so many different species! We spent close to 3 hours here and it was fun to be a kid again! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR ANY AGE 🐊🐍🦎🩵

My 5 year old was excited to go here and had a good time. ... However I felt like it was a not very clean or pleasing environment. Lots of dirty and crowded animal habitats. They took out a big tortoise to see and touch (cool!) but then didn't clean up its pee adequately around a bunch of little kids (gross). Plus a seemingly forgotten bucket of raw chicken that any kid could touch? No. And a giant snake being held by an employee around toddlers who the snake could easily grab hold of? I'm comfortable with snakes but when they are 6+ inches in diameter they cross a line into "treat with caution" - and this snake was not being treated with caution!

We loved it here. And it's only $15! A must-visit for reptile lovers! The Reptile Zoo here in Fountain Valley offers an incredible variety of animals, from snakes to lizards to exotic reptiles you won’t see anywhere else. I'm from out of town so the staff was really friendly and knowledgeable, and I loved the opportunity to wear a giant snake for a photo—such a cool and unique experience! Whether you’re there to learn or just have fun, it’s an awesome escape.

It was in a strip mall with about 3 store fronts. Lots of gecko, turtles, snakes etc staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. You can also purchase reptiles and supplies.
