The hotel is located at the one of the most beautiful place of the West coast of North California. Absolutely stunning views are the greatest part of the experience. Nice and quiet, big territory, absolutely the best place to enjoy a peaceful walk. The room was nice, the service was great. However there are definitely some space for improvement. Our room didn't have any table to enjoy in-room dining comfortably. I was surprised that none portable table was given to us when the breakfast was delivered. The only table we had was a small coffee table on a balcony, that was dirty and wet because of the weather. Unfortunately the only way to enjoy th meal every morning was staying and using TV console as a table.

The view at sunset was incredible.

This is a beautiful hotel in a stunning location. Walking in is like entering another world. Rooms are very large, with fabulous bathrooms and amenities (which to be fair, you’d expect at this price point). The views over the California coast are stunning. Unfortunately I was only here for a short conference, but it’s a place I’d love to return to.|The one nit I had is I really dislike valet-only parking. It just seems so unnecessary - I really don’t want to be forced to have a random stranger park my car.

I only give four stares due to the unbelievable difficulty of changing the number of guests for a reservation at the Conservatory. We tried for several weeks by phone and by email without any understandable feedback. This Heather, does she even exist or is she a bot?

I treated my fiancé to 2 nights at this lovely place by the sea. It's the first time I've booked a stay here, but I wanted this getaway to be special. We opted for a firepit-patio room that looked out over a putting green and the ocean. What a wonderful experience.||We had dinner at The Conservatory - I had scallops and the pumpkin soup, both wonderful. My fiancé had the salmon and loved it. Our server was incredibly attentive and helpful.||The room was just perfect, but mostly I wanted to leave a review for the consistently stellar staff. So attentive and helpful every step of the way. In particular, we'd like to give a shoutout to Anya at the front desk. My fiancés glasses fell apart unexpectedly. We took a chance to ask at the desk if they might have a repair kit (you never know!). At first they said, "no," but Anya remembered she had a kit in her purse, and went running to get it. She even fixed the glasses for him! Please give Anya our thanks (and a bonus when the time comes!)||We will definitely be back.

We decided to take a spontaneous 1-night trip to Half Moon Bay for the annual Pumpkin Festival and to celebrate my daughter's 17th birthday.|I let the hotel know through the app before arrival that it was my daughter's birthday and was hoping that they would acknowledge it in some small way upon check in.|Well, it was definitely better than a small acknowledgement! |When we first arrived we noticed a super cute, haunted house set up on the outside lawn for kids and adults alike to enjoy. As we pulled into the driveway we were greeted by a great valet team. Then as we stepped inside, we saw a beautiful display of fall leaves in the entryway, dangling from the ceiling. |The woman at the reception was wonderful and thanked me for my Marriott Platinum Elite status and upgraded us to an ocean view King room on the top floor and wished my daughter a happy birthday. |I am not sure if it was the birthday, my Marriott status, the short stay or good fortune but we ended up with a breathtaking corner room with unobstructed views of the ocean from one window and from another window, a view of the outside lounge, golf course and fire pits.|The rooms have been recently remodeled, and the decor inside is so beautiful. |We were getting ready to go outside and walk the grounds and catch the sunset when there was a knock on the door. A woman dropped off a gift bag with a RC Water bottle and a super thoughtful note!|The outside bar is a perfect place to watch the sunset over the ocean, watch the golfers,and right before sunset, they have a bagpiper stroll the grounds.... so fun.||When we returned from dinner they had turned down the room and left delicious macarons and freshwater bottles by the bed. |The TV was very large and the Nespresso machine was great.|We were sad to leave the next day and definitely want to come back and try a firepit room.|Like all RC's, the prices are high for drinks and food, valet, resort fees, etc but service was amazing, the location is stunning and they made my daughter feel so special on her birthday. Thank you Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay for an amazing experience!

I bought the Terrace room for my cousin and his wife to stay in for New Year's Eve, which was $1,500. Check in is at 3pm latest and they were not brought to their room until 5pm, I also purchased a 1 bed room and they were given a 2 bed. Not what you would expect, unacceptable and completely unprofessional. I definitely won't be staying here myself and don't recommend you do either, you are not getting what you pay for at this Hotel. Also, I tried to reach the front desk and let me tell you, you'll have better luck reaching the President, finally hung up and just wrote this review. STEP IT UP

The reason they get 4 stars is because of their prices. It was a wonderful weekend, but it’s $$$$. We had appetizers on the patio overlooking the ocean, which was delicious but a lot of money. Had pastries and coffee in the morning and the cheese danish wasn’t good at all. Not much flavor and dry. And pricey. Pickleball was fun and the coastal walk was pretty good. The room was comfortable. Will stay again.

One of the most important things about hotel stays these days is the ability to tip the housekeeping team. No one carries cash anymore. That means the people who clean our sometimes nasty rooms don’t get tipped. And they deserve it. Some Marriotts are putting QR codes in the rooms so guests can add a tip effortlessly. The RC should definitely do this.
