The View at 55th Place

We had our reception here and it was absolutely beautiful. Gina and Mary did such an amazing job getting everything together, easing all of our stresses, and managing all of the vendors. It was such an easy process to work with them. They handled everything for us and did a perfect job decorating, facilitating, and truly making our wedding day special. For how much pressure there is around weddings and parties, the whole crew really made it seem effortless and made our day all we dreamed it would be. If you’re looking for an intimate, but grand venue for your special day, stop looking and book The View at 55th! I just want to say this space both outside and inside is absolutely gorgeous and it’s what originally made us fall in love with the space, but the driving force behind our perfect day was the team at 55th! I’m going to miss being side by side with them as they are simply some of the most amazing people my husband and I have ever met. Gina, Obe, and Mary are the most kind and hard working masters of their craft! They went above and beyond for us and it didn’t go unnoticed. Let them be a part of your special day. You’ll be happy you did. We are so grateful!

LOOK NO FURTHER … The View at 55th is the perfect Venue for (any) occasion. From the very 1st breathtaking look at that ceiling, & the view out those windows – we felt it was special, immediately. There was a genuine warmth to the space we were looking for - that was lacking in the typical ballroom or venue space. It was grand, yet versatile. Elegant, but welcoming. The ladies & staff here deserve an extra shout out! They work tirelessly, going out of their way to make your personal vision – their goal. Countless times, Mary & Gina went out of their way to help us in infinite ways. They were patient, understanding & kind. Sadly, our 22 yr old beloved son Declan passed away unexpectedly – the day after Christmas. So that kindness was extra appreciated in our family’s most difficult hour. From our very first call & inquiry, there were moments we could not speak, or finish our sentences in our initial grief. Trying to get through those very difficult first phone calls – having to plan this event at all, and hearing true empathy & someone’s genuine wish to help us – meant everything to us. We knew during that phone call, our decision was made. We booked the View for his Celebration of Life, and couldn’t have been more thrilled with the outcome. We held a more unique, casual Happy Hour filled with unexpected surprises we knew he would’ve personally loved. Gina & Mary were nothing but supportive & encouraging. The Day was perfect, a near standing room only gathering of his friends and loved ones. All of whom expressed it was the best Celebration of Life they had ever attended. What more, could our family ask for. We will never be able to thank Mary, Gina & The View enough – for giving us those wonderful memories. Our children both got married at The View at 55th this year! The venue is just beautiful and the facility is very well appointed! The owner and staff are very kind and professional and the event planner has many decorations and on hand to help with any theme. There is a variety of rooms to use as you plan your event. We would not hesitate to highly recommend The View at 55th! Thank you Gina!

Gina I was the Wedding Planner for my friend, Nadia’s wedding. Gina was AWESOME helping my friend plan for her wedding ceremony and reception. She had so much patience as my friend had a lot of changes and additions to what she wanted her special day to be. Gina’s knowledge of the variety of flowers, candles, little details no one thinks of, seating, food and desserts is incredibly vast. This was so helpful because neither the bride nor myself had any of this knowledge. Gina set up a schedule of meetings for us to walk through from beginning to the big day so we wouldn’t be overwhelmed. She listened and transformed all the ideas into a beautiful ceremony and reception. The big day off went off without any issues - all due to Gina’s patience, planning and a wonderful team. I would certainly recommend Gina to any family or friends for any other type of special occasions.

We had our daughter’s reception here and it was absolutely beautiful! The grand entrance to the venue, the beautiful stairway, the large open floor plan and gorgeous view out of the picture windows made for a beautiful and classy backdrop for the reception. Gina was easy to work with, responded quickly to my questions and had everything laid out the day of the reception exactly like we talked about beforehand. The Bridal Suite was large and accommodated everyone. We used the Grooms Suite as a childcare area for children who came to the reception and it was perfect. Everything was clean and linens were ironed and clean. Someone from The View was available during our set up time to help and was able to give us duct tape, an extension cord and pen! It was the best reception! We would use The View again!
