I love going to Uncommon Threads. Everyone there is so knowledgeable, friendly, and encouraging! I started attending Tuesday Knit Night regularly a few months ago and now it's a part of my must-do weekly routine. As an intermediate knitter and crocheter I felt so welcomed by everyone and inspired to take on new challenges because not only is everyone fabulous at their craft, Stephanie has built an environment where it's truly a support network of wonderful humans and fiber crafters.

Stephanie keeps a quality stock of a variety of plant, synthetic, and animal fibers, and she and her staff are more than happy to order additional stock of anything you need.

As a transplant to the bay area, I cannot sing this store's praises enough for helping me find community and inspire me to challenge and hone my craft.

This fabulous knitting store is one of my favorite places to go! The selection of yarns is great and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Stephanie, the amazing owner organizes two weekly open knit/crochet gatherings (tue night and sun afternoon) and there are fun activities and workshops. I cannot recommend this place enough ☺️

Such an amazing shop! I love how everyone who works here knows so much about everything they have - not only in the way they can tell you easily what's machine washable or not, recommend yarn for your project, and tell you where everything came from and what's special about it, but the saleswoman who helped us even knew the history of when the needles I was looking at were offered in a more pointed shape and why! I've even come here for help on a project when I first started knitting, too, and they were so wonderful. My favorite local yarn shop for sure!

Tried to take class. It was a fail. Ended up not finishing. They cancelled,then wanted to reschedule.Scheduled a 35.00 help session. Sat and explained. Got "u might of missed a stich, showed me their knitting and told me to reread the pattern.
Went someplace else. Person helped me pull out my knitting, how to reball yarn, how to read my knitting, how to fix! That's right fix my knit with a small crochet hook. Top it off. They read my pattern first before helping me.
