EVERY bride should have Cheri as their seamstress! She is incredibly talented, patient and so kind. She works tremendously hard to make your dream wedding dress come true!
My gown was roughly 10” too long, and she was able to alter it perfectly! She completed it within a 2 1/2 month timeframe, and her prices are reasonable.
I often call her “Heaven sent” because she really is an angel. Before meeting her, I had another appointment with a tailor, and left feeling very disappointed. They said my gown couldn’t be altered as I had hoped, and they wanted to recreate my gown…changing its design for thousands of dollars and telling me that that was my only option. I felt so disappointed, but I prayed and my path led me to find Cheri later that day.
She is an artist with her work, and genuinely cares to fulfill her customers wishes. She relieved so much stress and worry when planning my wedding because I knew my gown was in the right hands.
I would recommend her to anyone and look forward to having her be my “local seamstress” whenever I need her next. I am so thankful for all that she did!

Absolute lifesavers! I brought in pants just days before an event, and they handled the alterations perfectly. Then, I had a last-minute emergency with a dress, and they fixed it quickly and at a great price. I don’t know what I would have done without them! Highly recommend.

My friends and I had a blast at my Sew and Sip birthday event. Most of the ladies had not sewn anything since middle school home economics class. Each attendee had so much fun and felt accomplished by being able to go home with a finished handmade project. All the materials were provided and we felt right at home to serve the snacks we brought for our celebration. Highly recommend Uptown Stitch for your tailoring needs as well as a fun learn to sew event with your friends.

Great experience, at the last minute they worked really hard to make everything perfect and make sure we had our dress for the wedding! It’s the little extra that goes along way and that’s what separates businesses, and this shows that they care! My dress was 7 layers, it was not an easy task and they really came through on the alterations! Thank you!

I was referred to uptown stitch by another business. It’s a beautiful old building located in Oakland Florida. Not too far from Winter Garden. It’s actually pretty convenient for Windemere Dr. Phillips Clermont and the surrounding area. The owner Sheri was very attentive to what I needed and their pricing is very fair. Lokation also does classes for kids teaching them the art of showing. She has A classroom set up with multiple sewing machines for the groups. I’m excited I found this place.
