Spent about an hour walking and shooting pictures of this place.

The museum is a self guided tour and $8 entry.

This is a well thought out museum covering an avenue in aviation that does not get attention it should. Had a good chat with Bob, the organizations president there on Nov 1st. Super knowledgeable, welcoming, and friendly.

The Super Albatross at the front was an amazing piece of artwork I gravitated towards as I'm a big fan of the old 1930's & 40s Craft boat's

Decent gift shop, but the stock was low due to the end of seasonal traveling. I don't hold that against them..

Neat little place to stop. Lots of history about gliders and real ones to see. The viewing room where they are working on restoring gliders is really cool to see. 20-30 minutes stop is so worth it.

For those of you who like aviation, gliders are the most beautiful aircraft. There'are laws of physics that apply to the glide ratio of a sailplane. Following those physical laws when designing the aircraft nearly always results in a visually pleasant looking glider.

I recommend this glider museum.

Drove past this hidden gem on our way to Arizona. Those who's into gliders like my hubby does would certainly enjoy it. It's run by a non profit organisation, old fashioned museum and exhibits (no hi tech interactive games pronto), but even a non plane enthusiast like me enjoyed the trip back in time. Don't miss it (and the passionate doggy welcomes you at the entrance) during your road trip!

A museum dedicated to gliders and soaring.
All aircraft are donated. The museum is staffed only by volunteers. Very knowledgeable volunteers.
There are some unusual gliders that made the stop better than we expected.
