As a wedding photographer, I’m always looking for venues that offer stunning backdrops and a seamless experience for my couples, and Vellano Estate by Wedgewood Weddings delivers on both fronts. This private estate offers breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and valleys, creating the perfect setting for both indoor and outdoor ceremonies. The grand hall with its dramatic architecture and elegant ambiance makes for incredible reception photos, while the beautifully manicured grounds provide endless opportunities for unique and intimate portraits.

My husband and I had our wedding with Wedgewood Vellano on 07/29/24. We were very happy with how everything turned out and if we had to do it all over again, we would still do it at Vellano.

When we first started wedding planning in January, we requested a lot of quotes through The Knot. We received a lot of responses, but the packages with Wedgewood seemed to be the most reasonable. We toured the La Verne and Corona sites as well, but Vellano seemed to have the best layout for our vision. They were able to accommodate small and large weddings (we only had 36 guests), and the bride and groom suites were spacious. The bridal suite also had a patio which was perfect since we had our dogs with us for our wedding day. The food was very good! Venue food tends to get a bad rep, but we went with the panko chicken and the cheese tortellini and we loved it!

Wedding planning is crazyyy. Even with Vellano taking care of 90% of it, we still had so much to do, so I can't imagine not having an all-inclusive venue.

The team at Vellano was always so nice and accommodating. I was nervous about not meeting our coordinator until the day before but Trent had all of our notes and was AMAZING on the day of our wedding. He pivoted easily if I forgot to tell him something and kept in communication with our photographer. He served us appetizers after as well as our dinner, so he wore many hats and did an incredible job at all of them. He also made our vision for the reception way better than we could've imagined; it was beautiful! He was a very hard worker - 10/10, 5 stars, A+, the whole shabang.

All the vendors that Vellano connected us with - the officiant, the the bakery, the DJ - AMAZING. We were so happy with our wedding team. We were assigned Oscar as our DJ and he was so attentive and determined for us to have the best day. We were nervous about the officiant being able to do a non-religious ceremony but they had no issue with it and took care of our ceremony script.

Thank you so much for giving us the best wedding day, we couldn't have asked for more!

My buddy had his wedding here. It was an awesome venue. Sadly , we weren't able to get the full experience of what the venue offers due to the rain the last few days. The staff made it work with how big of a wedding party he had. Lauren did a great job informing us of what the changes were and what to do. A beautiful place to get married if you get the chance to book it.

Great location, the country club no longer has an active golf club and now primarily has wedding receptions. No on site chapel, but an absolute gorgeous grounds makes up for anything they lack. The old club still has the wonderful Men/Women locker rooms to get ready for the event.
Everything looks fantastic and the wedding package deals are very convenient. Wedgewood makes all inclusive packages for a majority of the finer details and have some major ones to help out as well. This helps keep the outside vendors to a minimum and keeps the pressure off. The expense certainly matches the options reasonably.

My wife and I had our wedding at Vellano Estates on 12/09/2023. There were a lot of aspects of the planning and coordination of the wedding that stressed us out and made us upset.

Our day-of coordinator would constantly interrupt us throughout the day to confirm details that were somehow incorrect on her end and was overall quite rude to us. We tried to be as organized as we could in outlining and describing all of the details we wanted for our wedding, which had been communicated with the Vellano staff multiple times throughout the planning process (spreadsheets, descriptions, pictures, etc.). Yet our day-of coordinator would interrupt our photos or moments with our family and bridal party and ask about certain details that she somehow had incorrect. For example, we had communicated with the DJ and Vellano about the music for our ceremony but she somehow had those details wrong on her clipboard and we had to run one of our bridal party over to the DJ to correct it 5 minutes before the ceremony. It just felt like we wasted so much time trying to be organized and make things easy for the venue to execute, only for them to get them wrong and interrupt us constantly throughout the day. During the rehearsal on the day before, it also felt like the coordinator was trying to get rid of us as soon as possible even though we wanted to rehearse the processional and grand entrance. We ended up rehearsing those on our own without the coordinator.

Part of the issue could have been the communication with the venue prior to the wedding day was almost always with a different person. Whenever we would e-mail Vellano or meet with them in-person, a different person would be corresponding with us. It felt like a lot of details or miscommunications happened because our wedding kept getting passed to different people. It would have been great to have just one person take care of us throughout the whole process so they could get to know us and remember all of our details. Our day-of coordinator was also only “assigned” to our wedding a week prior. It would have been great to have met her much earlier in the process so that we could discuss and confirm to minimize mishaps and stress on the wedding day.

One part that made us quite upset was that our cake topper was destroyed at some point during the night. We spent a lot of money on the cake topper and it had a lot of sentimental value for us, so we were upset that it got destroyed. When we asked Vellano about it, they immediately blamed one of our guests. Even if one our guests knocked it over, we were expecting Vellano to take better care of the topper by putting it away after the cake cutting.

There was also a terrible smell in the groom’s suite throughout the entire wedding day. It smelled like rotten sewage in there which made it difficult to use the bathroom or the changing room. We were not warned about the smell at all from the Vellano staff and I had to ask them to do something about it before the rest of my groomsmen and family arrived. They ended up putting a couple candles in there, which did not really help much with the smell.

We had made placecards for our guests and wanted to have them arranged in a certain order so that couples would sit next to each other. But some of our guests were saying that they were separated from their partners at the table and had to switch seats. We arranged the placecards in a stack with the correct order and instructed Vellano to maintain that order when placing the placecards around the table. We also provided a spreadsheet of all the names of the guests at each table in the correct order as well.

A lot of the venue itself looked like it had not been cleaned in a while. We have a lot of pictures where dirt and dust on ledges and other areas is visible.

We had also asked our coordinator to place our items for our guests to hold during the grand exit, but not all of our items were put out.

Beautiful venue with unparalleled views! I have photographed a few weddings here, and these are my impressions:

- parking is ample and accessible
- staff is always friendly and professional
- food is excellent (my most recent experience was a buffet with pasta/salad/meat station, and my team and I agreed that it was one of the best meals this year... I especially loved the creamy tortellini)
- the property is full of photo opportunities, with the city views and the gazebo (see attached image) being my favorite
- onsite coordination was attentive and ensured everything ran on time (thank you!)
- the only "con" perhaps is having to find the venue for the first time: you have to go through a security gate where an attendant will direct you further

Summary: top-tier service with great views!
