I recently took a ceramics series and had a great time. Caty was knowledgeable and supportive, guiding me through various techniques from wheel-throwing to trimming. The studio was well-equipped, and the atmosphere was friendly and creative.

By the end, I had created several pieces I was proud of and discovered a new hobby I'm keen to pursue further. If you're interested in trying something creative and hands-on, I'd definitely recommend giving this ceramics series a shot. It's suitable for beginners and a fun way to learn a new skill.

Intro to throwing class with Caty was fantastic. They are a great instructor and the space is perfect. Small class sizes meaning you get good guidance but also time and room to experiment. Very highly recommended.

I attended Clay Body- Small, engaging class, teacher was very specific and helped you succeed on your own, therapeutic, attendees were chill, space was so well thought out, felt very welcomed and acknowledged. Class mates were encouraging and friendly. I will return. Most ceramic studios are very individual and unwelcoming, the teachers seem like they are just potters etc. Caty is an educator, artist and therapeutic and fosters a sense of community. I recommend Waveform to anyone curious about clay, the wheel or community art making.

Went to celebrate a friend's 40th birthday and Caty was amazing! They not only had a really cute studio but was able to accommodate a morning class for us busy moms. They are a great teacher and a very talented artist. Would highly recommend!

We did a private claydate with Caty, and it was fantastic! The class was perfect for beginners - we learned how to make small bowls in a fun, relaxed environment. Caty is an exceptional instructor who provided personalized guidance to each person in our small group of four. She has a great teaching style that makes working with clay approachable and enjoyable. The intimate class size meant we all got plenty of individual attention. Would highly recommend this claydate experience for anyone interested in trying pottery!

I simply cannot recommend Caty and Waveform enough!!!! I went to Waveform for the first time earlier this year and simply fell in love. Caty is SO patient and kind and most of all, *effective* as a guide no matter what your skill level with ceramics. I took a class and loved it so much that I booked a claydate with my best friend shortly after! One of if not the only studio in the Bay Area that generously welcomes new students in a way that doesn’t make you feel silly for not nailing it for the first around, but rather encourages you to keep trying, create a relationship with the clay, and most of all, learn to love every single step of the creative process. Absolutely Amazing Experience!

I was looking for some creative experience for my husband’s birthday and came across Catherine’s Claydate for two. From start to finish, it was an incredible journey of creativity and learning. Catherine was not only talented but also patient and encouraging, making the class suitable for beginners like us. The studio was well-equipped, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I thoroughly enjoyed the hands-on experience of shaping the clay into unique pieces, guided by the expert tips and demonstrations. By the end of the class, we both were amazed at the beautiful pottery we had created.
