Stunning gallery with a gorgeous and wide selection of work. You will not get bored viewing their collection. In fact, there is a good chance you will leave inspired, having fallen in love with at least one of their works of art. Their staff is exceptional too, pleasant, welcoming, and not pushy, giving you plenty of space to take in the beauty they offer. Truly a treasure in Los Gatos, and well worth the stop!

I'm ecstatic at the opening of Whitney Modern, a stunning contemporary art gallery in downtown Los Gatos! The gallery's proprietor, Suzanne, has an eye for art that is fresh and engaging, a definite contrast to most of what I've seen in other local galleries. I recently purchased a limited edition 1960's photograph of Bob Marley by the world-renowned photographer David Burnett and I will frequent this incredible space for inspiration once I free up more wall space.

I'm never disappointed when I make the trip to South Bay. The gallery is easy to find as it's located directly across the street from the Apple Store in downtown Los Gatos. It's upstairs on the second level, through and above another art gallery called Gallery 24 which is a local artist membership gallery.
Whitney Modern's collection of art is Incredible, tasteful, and collectible with rotating shows featuring significant and very talented artists. Last time I was in, they were representing about fifteen artists but they often feature solo or group shows where one or a few artists works will occupy the entire gallery. The space is unique, open, peaceful, and beautiful. The staff is friendly and helpful to answer questions about the artists without being pushy.
I'd like to also give Whitney Modern credit for going beyond the standard "art gallery business model" because they often host culturally and socially important exhibits which are always wonderful and inspiring.
The art and exhibits constantly change. If you don't live in or right near Los Gatos, it's definitely worth getting on their mailing list.

This is a fantastic gallery in downtown Los Gatos. I was fortunate enough to get a tour this morning by the gallery owner and her artist husband (together with other members of Art Docents Los Gatos). The space is bright, welcoming and even though it's not that big, there is plenty to see and it makes me want to come back regularly to see new collections of art works. There are paintings, photographs, resin works etc. A great addition to Los Gatos!

Whitney Modern is one of the finest art galleries I've been to in awhile. First and foremost, the gallery features a lovely collection of paintings, photographs and sculptures spanning a variety of styles that are sure to satisfy the tastes of any art lover. The work is spaced out nicely and the walls are not overly crowded. Adjacent works are positioned strategically to compliment one another in ways that make you want to take home your favorite piece and also the one next to it. Suzanne (the gallery director) is the most lovely woman with a smile and personality that brightens up the room. She is not one of those pushy sales people that hovers over you as you walk around. She allows you to spend quality time with the art--which is very important since art is such a personal thing. If you haven't been here yet, go asap. You won't be disappointed!

I went to an art show this weekend and it was a great time! I like how its located in the middle of downtown los gatos, plenty to do around. The gallery had a lot of unique artists. I really enjoyed the abstract and nostalgic art. Beautiful art with high prices. Looking forward to going to more art shows in the future.

I am so excited about this art gallery! This is the most amazing gallery I've seen in years. It's very new so they have continued to add artists and every time I go in I'm pleasantly surprised. The gallery is very modern as their name implies. Much of their work is very large in scale. The art varies from abstract to realism. Works in collage, painting, drawing...along with some sculpture, photography, and furniture. If you are a contemporary art lover or collector, I highly recommend visiting the gorgeous space at Whitney Modern. They are upstairs on the second floor. There is another separate art gallery (gallery 24) downstairs in the same building which has been there for some time.

Very cool new art spot. It is located on the second floor, giving it an elevated and open feeling, and offering a unique view of downtown Los Gatos. It is an ideal space for enjoying the art.
