Paid for 10 classes upfront package. Was unable to use 4 of them as I had some unexpected travel over summer. Asked for extension 2 weeks before expiration and was told that should not be a problem. After waiting 1 month to get a response and leaving several messages finally heard back that they can't extend my classes. Was asked to pay additional $50 to have classes extended which seems utterly ridiculous. When I buy restaurant discount gift certificate/card, there is no expiration, why should there be expiration for classes. California Civil Code Section 1749.5 prohibits the sale of gift cards/certificates with expiration dates, making such enforcement illegal. Why should I pay even more money for classes that I have already paid ahead of time!!! I lost my opportunity to use my remaining classes due to lack of timely response from Yoga Shakti. Very insensitive staff, untimely response time, only care about $$$, terrible customer relations and service.

UPDATE:
After complaining on social media the management apologized for delay and frustration, reviewed my case and extended the expiration of my remaining unused classes by 1 month. Now I am able to use my remaining classes without paying extra $$.

Don't be deceived by the good reviews; they belong to the previous owner of this studio. The studio has a malfunctioning website with a lot of flaws which leads to errors and incorrect charges, but the current owner - or his administrator - refuses to take responsibility for them. Rather than work with customers who, like me, belonged to the previous studio for 20 years, the current owner is rude, lacks customer service skills, and is flat out hostile. Buyer beware...

This place used to be good! Now it is impossible to do anything with them! They subscribe you for a month. However, if you need to go on vacation, they keep on charging you even when you don't take any classes! I called them and ask them to stop by subscription. The woman the phones kept on promising to do this for over a month now and NOTHING happened! Now they just stopped taking my calls all together! I emailed them and they are not responding to my messages! I asked them to cancel my subscription but they are not cancelling! They keep on charging me and refuse to cancel my subscription! Will be disputing the credit card charges next! What a horrible experience!

I have never found a more authentic and beautiful studio than Yoga Shakti! Truly authentic yoga, meditation and Ayurveda in a nurturing and caring environment. Highly trained, skilled, friendly and talented instructors! All are made to feel welcome and their teacher training is unparalleled to any other I have seen. Have been going to Yoga Shakti for nine years -- notwithstanding a half hour drive. I started with a prenatal class -- which I loved! -- while pregnant with my first child, had a postnatal break for about two years, tried a level 2 class, and have been passionately attached to it (all through my second pregnancy as well) ever since. Great place for practicing yoga!
