My daughter has been studying drawing at Ma Yun Art Center for 5+ years. Teacher Ma is not only a talented artist, but also an excellent art teacher. She is very patient to help each student finish the artwork. She always encourages and inspires the students. The students grow up with the significant improvement on creativity and technique. My daughter really like the class environment and teaching style in the art center. She enjoys her art class very much.

I am Wilson’s mom, My 12-year-old son has been studying painting at Ma Yun Art Center for 8 years, and he really likes the scope of study here.  Teacher Ma is a very talented artist and excellent teacher. She is very gentle and patient with children. She starts with the most solid drawing skills, and can grasp the characteristics of the children to encourage and guide them. The children are creative and skillful.  Both have been significantly improved.  At the same time, the timetable of Ma Yun Art Center is very flexible and can adapt to our parents' daily arrangements.  I highly recommend Teacher Ma's Ma Yun Art Center!

My daughter is in 8th/9th grade and has been learning drawing from Ms. Ma for 1+ year. When she just joined Ms. Ma's class, Ms. Ma said she'd teach my daughter the passion to love and enjoy drawing and art. That has been exactly how it went -- My daughter has been looking forward to the lesson each week; she has been obsessed with drawing and draws whenever she has a chance. Looking at my daughter's class works now, I cannot believe those are from her.

Ms. Ma is a talented artist who teaches with passion, patience, experience, demonstration by herself.

We learned of Ms. Ma's Art Center through a friend.  Our child has been going to group lessons for more than a
year,  and we are really glad to have found the center! Our child enjoyed each class, and has clearly grown in drawing and painting skills.  Ms. Ma's group classes are small, and she can effective personal attention to each child every class.

Ms. Ma also knows how to keep students engaged while introducing them to different subjects and techniques.  They willingly and differently engage if shading exercises!

My son Samuel showed an early interest for drawing when in preschool. So he started taking art lessons from Ms. Ma at the age of five, and those lessons continued on a weekly basis until he was eighteen and ready to leave for college. When he started, given his young age and a strong personality, Samuel was not always agreeable and easy to manage. Yet every time I picked him up after Ms. Ma’s art lesson, he always seemed happy and was proud to show me what he drew that day. I believe this has to do with Ms. Ma’s outstanding ability to motivate students of all ages and all skill levels. As a teacher she’s good at tailoring her teaching style and content to the unique need and personality of each student. She shows her students an artistic framework for expressing their ideas and emotions, while giving them enough freedom to be creative on their own. Her teaching style was highly effective for kids like my son who needs an outlet for expressing a lot of his wild ideas, and who flourishes on encouragement and positive reinforcement. As a parent I was really happy to see my son’s drawing skills advancing over the years, as he continued to produce many interesting art works in various forms, including sketch, watercolor, acrylic painting, and oil painting, among which sketch was his favorite. Thank you, Ms. Ma, for holding Samuel’s hand through the art journey!

Ms. Ma taught me art when I was 14 to 17 years old. Fast forward many years and now she's teaching my own kids. She is very patient and knows how to engage and immerse the kids in art. They have a blast in every class and not only do they bring home beautiful, fun, creative pieces of art, they also get to practice some Chinese with Ms. Ma. Highly recommend teacher Ma for her artistic teaching ability and how she gets children to love art.
