Do yourself a favor and get on the mailing list to receive upcoming events and exhibits postcards/emails. Always at least one artist with a connection to Fresno and the greater Central Valley region. Wide range of materials (nature, metal, plastics), forms (books, murals, sculptures, paintings, digital) and time (BCE Americas to contemporary). Multiple exhibition rooms, hallways and outdoor areas have well lit displays and easy to read description cards. Outdoor park has cobblestone, dirt walkways, tables and benches. Find items from exhibits plus interesting toys, books, food and more in the gift shop.

Really enjoyed the Fresno Art Museum. Each little wing was for a different artist, and we saw a nice mix on display. I enjoyed the focus on the different people, different media types, and the lovely courtyard as well.

It was a little chilly, which I understand helps with the art preservation but still - bring a jacket. It somehow felt a little empty, like the rooms were large but could have been fuller, but maybe the individual pieces were just a little small for the walls. It was still well worth it.

The employees were delightful, and they were even serving cookies and cider in the main area for free. It was very nice art museum!

My daughter and I had a lovely time at the Art Museum today with one notable exception and the reason for the one star deduction... the homeless hanging out on the North side of the building. The issue I have is it's well within eyesight of the parking lot and it made my daughter nervous until we got inside of the museum. Once inside, all of the staff were friendly and helpful. The museum itself was well lit and clean. At the time of this posting, there is a special exhibit for Maurice Sendak. He wrote and illustrated the children's book "Where the wild things are". We had an enjoyable morning, and we will likely return later in the year.

I have been wanting to visit the Art Museum since I was a teen, I'm mid 30s now, so it's been on my list forever! I finally went on a Saturday, it's only $10 to get in, for it being a Saturday it was very calm.
I was able to be in some of the gallery rooms alone and take my time looking over the pieces. I really loved the "Beyond Boundaries" expedition. The colors and art really called to me, there were about 4 or 5 different expeditions on display. There were 4 separate rooms in the museum and then one display was in the main lobby area and hall. The building itself is beautiful, high ceilings, beautiful flooring, modern. They have a cute gift shop, and a sculpture garden in the back, the garden is nice, small and quiet, on warmer days it would be nice to just sit and relax back there. There is also a Beautiful mural painted on the building in the garden.
Parking is free, the museum is right next to a park, staff was very nice and welcoming.

Took my wife and older kids here. We had a blast! It wasn’t too busy and the museum was magical to walk through. I recommend buying tickets in advanced to reduce the wait time. We will be returning!

It was a wonderful place to visit. I really like that they have an outside area that you can sit and enjoy some art rocks. The art inside was really unique. The place was clean and the gift shop has a lot nice things that you can purchase.

How amazing experience! They are right to say “ visit us … be inspired!” The quality of the exhibition is great, similar to visit the Broad at Los Angeles CA or the MoMA at New York! This museum offers us unique opportunities to see and enjoy important pieces of art and artists. On this museum I knew the Chester Arnold artwork and his art catch me immediately! That is what I am looking for when I visit the museum! FAM is absolutely amazing, great exhibition, garden and the store is really nice. The docents are very kind!
