This is a makerspace located off of Foothill on the border of Claremont and Upland.

This place has a laser cutter, 3d printers, 2 vinyl cutters (one small and one really large), a shopbot and miscellaneous equipment for making nearly anything.

The place is owned by Rob, a retired engineer who loves to help.

During my visit, Rob showed me how to design a project on the computer and send the file to the laser cutter.

Very nice and helpful people.

Rob has a great makerspace set up here that allows you to explore your ideas and bring them to life. I have gone several times just to ask question and find out more about how things work. Rob is extremely helpful and friendly and invites anyone and everyone to come and see for yourself how your arts and crafts or real world projects can become reality.

Umakers Makerspace was great, they helped me re calibrate my cr-10, and they are very knowledgeable of everything. As well as great service they are very friendly and polite, and they really are passionate about everything they do. If you ever need help, or just want some questions answered I would highly recommend you go to this makerspace. I think everyone that is interested in not just 3d printing, but a handfull of other things should go check this place out, everyone is very helpful and chill. But dont ask for a service and not be willing to pay the already super low price that is being offered to you!

I needed to custom engrave some pocket knives and sent out a request on Yelp to ten local laser engraving companies. The owner of UMakers Makerspace is named Rob, and he responded very quickly. He explained to me that I could get laser engraving them myself if I wanted to at his makerspace. I was intrigued and didn't quite know what a makerspace was, so I drove over there and checked out the place. Rob has the following machines there:

- multiple 3D printers
- CNC router
- CO2 laser engraving machine
- digital heat press transfer T-shirt sublimation machine
- digital sublimation mug/cup heat press machine
- sewing machine
- Roland SP-300V 30" VersaCamm large format printer & cutter
- and a number of other machines that I have yet to be acquainted with

With Rob's gracious help, I ended up making the following custom items over the course of a month and several visits:

- A laser engraved pocket knife using the CO2 laser engraving machine
- A custom wooden sign with the words "pocket knives" in cursive carved from a sheet of plywood using the CNC router
- A custom photo mug with my child's photo on it using sublimation photo paper, a special sublimation mug, and the cup/mug heat press machine
- A 6.0 x 2.5' color printed vinyl banner with grommets, plus custom vinyl stickers for my mother-in-law's mountain bike team using the Roland SP-300V 30" VersaCamm Large Format Printer & Cutter
- Multiple sheets of custom vinyl stickers for my mother-in-law's mountain bike team of her team's logo

If you think you'd enjoy making custom products for yourself, friends and family, and/or to even start your own business, this is the place to be! I've invited over ten different friends to check out UMakers and they all had a great time and went home with really cool custom products that they made themselves!

Rob will be more than happy to walk you through how each machine works. There are even snacks and drinks available, and office space to come relax and get caught up on work or e-mails.

UMakers is open seven days a week from 9am to 9pm; the hours are excellent if you just need to pop in and make something. I've met a handful of other members at this makerspace and they're all quite friendly and helpful if you happen to have any questions.

Come check out UMakers Makerspace yourself and make something here! (:

My 1st time visiting here. I went by myself. It was very difficult to find, i drove around for about 8-10mins, trying to figure out where this place was. Google maps didnt help.😔 Once I finally found it, I realized it was a pretty small unit but had a lot of different equipment to use for various projects. such as 3D modeling, a place to make mugs/cups and t-shirts and even a vinyl cutter. The guy that runs the place is a really sweet old guy who loves to talk😊 oh, and just a note, there is a charge 💰 to make make stuff in this Makerspace ( Until my own Campus Makerspace). Just make sure you come with all your own supplies and materials. Happy Making

Great Space for makers and student engineers. You should look into this place if you're a engineering or architect student at the Claremont Colleges. Even Cal Poly and JC students should check out the space. Its cheaper to use the space than pay your school for manufacturing services for class projects.
