I would like to thank the staff member at the front desk for her unusual welcome when my daughter and I visited the gallery. Upon our arrival, we were initially made to feel as though we might not be allowed to enter. When I asked if the gallery was closed, I was informed it wasn’t but was then advised to ‘be careful.’ I’m unsure what we were meant to be cautious of, as the gallery features art on the walls and nothing particularly hazardous.

It was an unexpected and perplexing interaction, especially for what should be a welcoming and enriching experience. I hope this isn’t reflective of the overall approach to visitors.

I go there in the evening for my classes. Not many people at the time. But I like the place, for the art work I can see around. Feels kind of nice to be in a place where you can learn so many different art. Can also see this small lake from the waiting room area.

Best fine arts center ANYWHERE with many different types of affordable art classes. There are bunnies birds and turtles on the property that add to its charm, just please DONT FEED THE BIRDS AND ANIMALS. They are well taken care of and giving them human food can lead to an early death and makes for very gross poop that pollutes the lake.
As a bonus it's a great place to hunt pokemon! There are multiple poke gyms and many stops. I've been going to this place for 30 years and it's one of my favorite places. Love it!

The only place in Orange County that you can perform lost wax casting without having to buy all of the equipment yourself and burn down your own house in the process. The only thing missing is half day studio passes.

Good culinary arts classes have expert instructors. I enjoyed learning.
As for the facility, it's a small yet well maintained art center with friendly service. I always appreciate the warm welcome from the helpful front office staff.
I'm looking forward to the next time I have an opportunity to take
another class here!
The art galleries showcase students' work nicely.
There's an art fair as well.

As an Irvine resident, I'm proud of the Fine Art Center, the wonderful classes and exhibitions they have there. The exhibition I saw today was excellent. I was very impressed with the artwork on display. If you're reading this I'm sorry to tell you that that exhibition has closed. However, there will be a new one on February 22nd.

All these lame reviews don't explain how wonderful this place is, if you know what you are doing and can operate creatively without an instructor supporting you then this is a wonderful spot to work on your own pieces in a completely furnished lab setting. From what I've seen this place isn't for novices which is where I think most of these reviews stem from, but hey if you take the time to fully teach yourself how to work in a dark room, fabricate jewelry, etc. then this place is for you.
