This hotel is located right in the middle of downtown El Cajon. Its nice with a few amenities. Rooms were clean and the hotel staff is great. I forgot her name but she works the night shift and she goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is the best.

This is my favorite place to stay when I plan a weekend at Sycuan casino. It's easy to get to, fairly priced, the staff is really nice and the rooms are very clean. I highly recommend. They have a big parking lot adjoining the hotel with plenty of parking. It's also next door to the police department.

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent stay at the Courtyard Marriott in El Cajon, California, from February 13th to February 16th, 2025. My experience was nothing short of horrifying, and I am incredibly disappointed with the handling of the situation.

On the night of February 15th, at approximately 3:30 AM, the fire sprinkler system in our room suddenly activated, dumping water all over the floor while my children and I were asleep. There was no fire or alarm to signal an emergency, which only added to the shock and fear we experienced. The unexpected incident left us terrified and unable to sleep for the remainder of our stay. My children were especially affected, and they struggled to get any rest for the next two nights.

Despite the significant distress caused by this event, we received no apology from the hotel staff. To make matters worse, we were charged the full amount for our stay, with no compensation offered for the inconvenience and discomfort we endured. This lack of response is unacceptable, and I find it deeply troubling that Marriott, a brand known for its hospitality, did not address this issue in any meaningful way.

I urge Marriott to investigate this matter, offer a formal apology, and consider appropriate compensation for the troubling experience my family and I faced. We did not expect such an ordeal from a reputable hotel brand, and this experience has severely impacted our perception of Marriott’s commitment to guest satisfaction.

It is a little expensive for rooms + bar and food it's a little too much for more than 1 day. But it's nice if you have money to burn and want to level up try it
