We visited Dana Point Harbor while we were staying at the Waldorf Astoria Resort. It was nice walking around the harbor, shopping, eating, and seeing a bunch of boats. There is a lovely park at the harbor as well, so we got to see a bunch of dogs while we were there which was fun. It was nice to see people out and about on water and on land. If you are looking for a nice place to walk around in Dana Point, the harbor is a great place to go.

Another place that is beautifully decorated for Christmas and very friendly for nighttime strolls with friends. There are Christmas band performances, many places for photo opportunities, hot chocolate with marshmallows, and a great view of Dana Point Harbor.

AVOID this location, lots of CONSTRUCTION. There is very little parking and more and more of the SPOTS are being taken away for construction. Area residents with boats jostle with restaurant visitors. This project EXPECTED too LAST Year's.

Nice place to wonder and admire the boats but also to have a nice relaxing lunch. It seems like a great place to walk your dog as well. I took the ferry there to the Catalina island and it was an easy place to get around

It's come a long way over the years. Some long time locals might not be for such dramatic changes, but as long as the Harbor can keep some of its original and wonderful restaurants, and annual events like the Christmas boat parade, or even seasonal activities like jetti fishing, and whale watching excursions.
