I love that I found Sincere Ceramics! You sign up for classes one at a time--making it really easy to fit into your schedule. And the price (about $15) for a two hour class, including all materials, is beyond reasonable. Instructors spend much of each class helping out beginners (of course), but always make a point to stop and check on everyone's progress.

If this is your first time trying out ceramics, just be aware of a few things: It can be messy, so don't wear anything you're not ready to get a bit dirty. It takes at least two sessions to finish a piece, as you have to fire it once to solidify the clay, and then a second time after you glaze it. And last, it's not as easy as it looks! Don't get discouraged, it takes a lot more than a class or two to learn how to really work with and understand clay.

Great experience! Not only were the owners delightful but the studio is well equipped and the instruction was great. Fun to get back in ceramics after a very long hiatus. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to give ceramics a try for the first time, or someone who has experience but not all the big items like throwing wheels & a kiln at home. Will be back for more classes

I would give them 10 stars if I could. I've been going here for a couple of years.

This studio provides all the materials to take a piece from start to finish. Everything is included: clay, instruction, aprons, tools, wheels, sculpting stations, firing, several options of glazes, and a second firing. People who come in to the studio have a variety of skill levels from brand new beginners to very experienced potters. You can bring your own tools and glazes too. The instruction is informative and usually given by one of the studio owners, Justin. He will also come around and provide advice and answer questions.

The studio is in a warehouse space with a shop at the front and a large studio space in the back. A large roll-up door is usually open. If it's hot outside expect it to be hot in the studio (though they do have a very large fan that helps a lot). If it's cold outside expect it to be cold in the studio. The front shop sells finished ceramic and wood pieces including dishes, earrings, and wall art. They also sell glazes. Mackenzie is the other studio owner and she runs the shop and also does all the scheduling for future classes. The tickets online sell fast! You can book at the shop for more dates than they have online.

Pottery doesn't come together in one day so plan to schedule a few classes at least two weeks apart. That allows time for drying and firing.

Justin and Mackenzie are also the best kind of people! Absolutely 10 stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A wonderful place to create and play with clay. Signed up for their beginner class with my friend and we loved it. The instructor walked is through both throwing on the wheel and hand building fundamentals. Clay was included in the cost of the class and we had about 1.5 hours to create once the instructions were completed. Completing any pieces will take multiple classes because of the firing process, so keep that in mind when you sign up. Classes get filled quickly and are typically posted on Friday nights, so check their website for sign ups at the end of each week. Highly recommend if you're looking to get back into ceramics or just want a different activity.

Loved it! It was my second ever wheel throwing class, first handbuilding class, and first visit to this pottery. The instructor Justin gave incredibly quick but thorough and clear instructions for each method, and was very encouraging. It may seem at first like information overload, but with helpful posters detailing all of these processes plastered on the walls, I felt confident that I’d have information available at every angle. And between me having only one class prior elsewhere, and another classmate who took 3years of college level ceramics, we all learned new tips and tricks from Justin that were extremely helpful and innovative! Cant wait for future classes and creatively exploring this medium with my partner and friends!

They charge you extra fee to support their web scheduling system. I prefer to call in after work when I'm free to see if they have any open spots, because people do cancel and don't show. The assistant made a big deal and pointed me out to staff. I'm a nice person. The staff there is not very accommodating. Seriously chill out.
