Ryan is absolutely the best tutor! My kids have been with Ryan for over 3 years and he has supported them through complex math (Algebra to Trig to honors Calc), chemistry, biology and SAT prep. Ryan has excellent subject knowledge and strong communication skills (with both parents and kids). He is an attentive listener, clear in his explanation of concepts, detailed-oriented, and flexible if sessions need to be move around. I found AJ Tutoring after struggling in my college General Introductory Physics 2A class. I went from not passing either of my midterms to getting one of the highest final exam grades in the class. I had a handful of sessions with Shivangi and she gave me some really helpful tips and tools to help with problem solving and test taking. She also personalized lesson plans and respected my learning style. She made things easy to understand and helped to build up my confidence before my final. I highly recommend AJ Tutoring.

My daughter worked with Dom at AJ tutoring this summer on her ACT. She absolutely loved working with them and learned so much. Ryan Li is an absolutely fantastic teacher. He taught me AP Biology and I felt that I learned so much from him each session, but he still kept it light-hearted and fun throughout. He was very patient and good at explaining topics that I had difficulty with, while also pushing me to deepen my understanding. I would highly recommend him for AP Biology.

Since her sophomore year our daughter has worked with Nicholas Johnson at AJ Tutoring. Nicholas is friendly, approachable, and flexible with strengths across math and science. Specifically he has helped with confidence and content mastery in Chem H, AP Chem, Alg2Trig H, Analysis H, and AP Calc. Our daughter has even brought physics and biology questions to him to figure out. Nicholas apparently also has great music and food tastes. He has been a real asset to our daughter's academic time at PALY and is highly recommended!
