If I could give 10 stars, I would! I have been working with Terry and she’s the best San Diego has to offer. I’ve improved my acting skills and feel confident in auditions. I have now booked a National commercial and I can honestly say that it is because of Terry’s feedback and training expertise.

I have learned to work character and script analysis, and breakdown. Character motivation, cold reading, audition technique, body movement and voice technique. This is just in the few months that I have worked with her.

Terry is a great teacher! I studied in NYC for 7 years, but I have to say Terry's teaching has been the most practical acting class I've taken. She helps you develop strong acting techniques, and provides many different options and methods that help you navigate what methods bring the bests results for you. What makes her stand out as a teacher is that she goes beyond technique and gives tons of advice on how to prepare yourself for a professional gig. She's helped review reels and self-tapes, gives advice on how to find gigs and prep for the audition, and will even send auditions opportunities to her students. She's also brought guest teachers and speakers in such as casting directors, improv teachers, and vocalization coaches. Her classes are really well-rounded, and I highly recommend them whether your a beginner or more advanced actor.

Terry Ross is an incredible teacher, actor, director, and friend! I’ve attended her Thursday classes for over a year and a half, and recommend her to every person in San Diego interested in pursuing acting, whether professionally or for fun.

When I first moved to San Diego, I wanted to get back into film acting, but wasn’t quite sure where to go for classes. I went on Yelp and saw Acting Professionally was highly rated, so I decided to reach out and committed to attending four classes.

Having taken acting classes before, I went into the class with some expectations and was not disappointed: Terry is incredibly knowledgeable, accredited, experienced, and well-rounded of her knowledge in film and theater. I have a fairly unique perspective on Acting Professionally. I took Terry's classes and performed in her showcase for two different time periods 8 years apart. What I can tell you is that her class has evolved in a major way with more and more elements added from my previous term in her class. I thought it was a great value in 2011-2012 but today that value is much greater 8-9 years later. Terry is a very wonderful human being who creates a very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere in class and amongst the students so that people are able really put it out there without any fear or worry. She also teaches a healthy variety of preparation techniques (from inside-out to outside-in) and acting schools of thought. Most importantly, she's about helping you discover what works best for you. If you're in San Diego and looking to either get started in acting as a hobby or want to start making it your career, this class can 100% help you achieve your goals. I would know as I've signed with a pair of agents (once in 2012 and now in 2020).
