I have had an intake appointment for 2 weeks and my husband rescheduled important meetings and took the day off to be available for it. 1 week ago they called me about an insurance issue in which I called them back twice and left voicemails to resolve with no response back. Not even 24 hours before appointment I received a cancellation. After asking on our local moms group apparently already clients have been in waiting rooms 10 minutes before therapy session, only to get canceled then. Glad we dodged a bullet here obviously, so sad as there are not many resources for our kids. I was very hopeful and feel so let down by this quick but awful experience. All in all, save your time and keep on looking for your needs to be met elsewhere!

As a parent who has tried to find an ABA clinic that treats the child with care and compassion for years - this is not at all what we experienced on our first day.

They always say the first impression is as good as it gets and if that’s the case I’m worried of how continuing services would be.

The therapists are kind enough but the actual department as a whole is cold, deflective and operates as a corporation and business - focused on money not on experience or the concerns of the parent.

I worked my behind off to get my daughter into Cortica for a year. Both financially and from a healthcare standpoint and the stress and effort was unfortunately for nothing.

I hate leaving negative reviews but I’m so tired of autism treatment services being conducted as an industry and not as a service for the betterment of the child.

I believe better options exist.

UPDATE: after two years, I tried out Cortica again. I was introduced to someone in the company who promised better service. While we were able to meet with a neurologist (who I like), still… services are unavailable. The waitlists are 8-12 months. When we were finally assigned an ABA therapist, the morning of our first appointment I received an email to confirm the arrival time and then another email an hour later to say she was no longer available to work with us! It seems like Cortica is in the business of assessing kids and not in the business of actually servicing them. Oh, and I was billed for 12 hours of administrative/ clerical work for an observation of my son that took only 1 hour. When the assessment was recommended to me, the communication about how it would be billed was poor. I had no idea it would cost so much. I’m extremely disappointed and would tell you to stay away.

I don’t know how this place has a 4.8 star rating. We scheduled an intake appointment, which took 6 weeks to make. That was fine. Our intake N.P. was amazing. Then everything went to crap. She recommended our son see their neurologist and have music therapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy. Sounded good!

They didn’t have a neurologist on staff, so we were put on a waitlist. What the hell? Why recommend something you can’t provide?

Then speech therapy… they were booking five months out! Ridiculous. Occupational therapy wasn’t much better with a four month wait.

Then two weeks later I got a call that their occupational therapist quit, so we were being moved to December! That would be an eight month wait.

When we finally got a neurology appointment, the morning of I received a call that the doctor had an emergency and needed to reschedule. My husband took off work, and we had 45 minutes’ notice of the cancellation. Funny how we are charged $50 for cancelling less than 72 hours in advance, but they can cost us a vacation day.

I just cancelled all my future appointments with this joke of a company. My son never received services. They make their money offering false hope and promises during intake appointments. They have NO staff. Don’t bother with them. Oh, and when they survey you to get feedback about your dissatisfaction, they don’t follow up. Where is the call I was supposed to get? Seems like they have no interest in helping my child or making things right. Seriously disappointed.

Cortica has wonderful therapists and thorough communication! I truly feel Cortica has benefited my child and family as a whole. My child loves her therapist and looks forward to the positive, fun, learning environment her therapist facilitates. Our family chose not to go the ABA route - they are extremely respectful and open to working with my family to incorporate what is best for my Autistic child. I recommend Cortica to any family looking for the right support.

Cortica has been amazing for us. Very organized, everybody knows what is going on which shows that the doctor/therapists communicate with each other. The goals set have been very concrete and manageable, and my son has been reaching his projected goals with Cortica's help. Cortica is amazing, it’s like having an entire team behind your child. The doctors, the therapists, the coordinators are so caring and helpful. We had really lost hope, but the therapies at Cortica have made a world of difference in our daughter’s behavior and attitude. Being on the spectrum is a lifelong journey, but Cortica has set us on a new course, and we’ve all learned more coping and behavior strategies. Even as a parent, you learn so much and gain new insights. Plus, the facility is just amazing, when you visit you will see how safe, modern, and welcoming it is.

Trying to talk to anyone at the front desk is impossible. After a lengthy introduction message none of the options work to speak to someone at the clinic, not good.
