A very strange claim to fame that makes you question stopping. But it is a very amazing place, almost all outside. Created by a Frenchman, some of the exhibits are French, such as some original stairs from the Eiffel Tower. Much more variety than expected, and totally worthy of a stop.

On a personal note, some 20 or 30 years ago I was four wheeling in this area and saw a large pyramid of rocks. I stopped to inspect it, and was chased away by a man said “you can’t go here. This is the center of the world”. I may have been one of the first visitors.

Super fascinating spot. Very helpful tourguides with extensive knowledge of the history of the area. Great photo ops. You get a certificate if you visit the official center of the world!

At first my buddy and I thought this was some kind of religious institution based on the architecture but the symbolism and the beauty of the information and preservation is amazing. We were blown away to experience this firsthand. The detail in the granite, the decades it likely took to create this museum, the church at the top and the lack of vandalism in this beautiful space was fascinating. It surpassed all expectations that we had for the place and we will likely return sometime down the road. This would be an excellent spot for a field trip or to take middle/high school kids.

An amazing road side attraction. Sadly, the pyramid was locked so we weren’t able to actually stand in the center of the world.
It’s a quick and easy side trip off the freeway coming or going to CA or AZ on Hwy 8.

Plan on spending several hours if you want to actually read all of the history around this place. Everything you see there is all carved with a Dremel and then white paint is added to make it pop. The chapel has like 57 stairs to climb, however very beautiful view from the top awaits. At the end they give you a certificate to use for your future visits.

Very interesting exhibit. Depending on how many panels you read, you will spend one to three hours walking around. We arrived after 3 pm but if you go earlier, definitely bring sunblock, a hat and some shades!

It was very interesting, Employees were friendly and informative, and the young lady was a sweetheart and walked with me and took some photos and got me started out (they also have a tour I declined)
So you walk along the plaques that are engraved beautifully, read about our history, famous artwork, a church on a hill at the end, a maze (3 circles) and more I didn't get to ( this visit) I believe on our armed forces and parachuting? Which they do they do there once a year. I was there for about 2 hrs, I got a bit burnt in December so I would not do this in the heat/ hot months. ..... and a pyramid over the plaque that says it's the center of the Earth.....
Cute gift shop, & you get a certificate so you can get in free in the future.
It was pretty cool, I'm glad I went!
