We went to see the Nut Cracker at San Gabriel Mission Playhouse. It was put on by a local ballet school and well performed. And what a spectacular venue. The Native American interior artwork is very interesting to view during intermission.

Built in the mid-1920’s it definitely has that feel of a grand European theater with a restored Wurlitzer pipe organ from 1924.

This is such a gorgeous theatre! I lived in LA for 40 years & never knew this theatre was here. It should have various shows & concerts performing every day & night. It would do phenomenal business!

This historic playhouse is a must see, whether you're into concerts or musicals this playhouse offers an amazing experience. The atmosphere is pleasing, and offers a wonderful classic architectural view .

Beautiful architecture... Classic old fashion theater. Clean restrooms and theater. Air conditioning . Plenty of parking space. Staff working and friendly and helpful. Surrounded by museum, restaurants and small shops. Perfect place and atmosphere to walk around and take in all the beautiful architecture. Great a/c, on hot days very cool place to relax and watch a show. Plenty of snacks at reasonable prices. Every seat in the auditorium is a good seat to watch the shows.

I went to a concert of the Olympia youth Orchestra here with a good friend. I was so impressed with how beautiful the facility is. One has to admire a community that has this kind of facility. The seat or a bit uncomfortable but nothing that I have not experienced before with my 6ft2 frame. The acoustics were great and I applaud the orchestra and all of the highlighted performers for their amazing talent. I would happily come back here for another concert.

A great place to see any production. We went to see the 1920 silent film Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde accompaniment with a live organ.
